Cotham's restaurants have a long and distinguished history in Arkansas. The present store, Cotham's Mercantile, was built in 1917. It has served as a general mercantile store in the Scott area for area farmers and plantation owners since its beginning. It has also served as a military commissary and lockup for local law violators awaiting trial by a circuit-riding judge. In 1984, a small eating area was opened to serve lunch to area farmers. Soon discovered by prominent politicians, notably Bill Clinton and David Pryor, the restaurant suddenly became the place to eat and greet for distinguished Arkansans from all walks of life. A new location opened in October of 1999 on the corner of 3rd and Victory and in 2003 a West Little Rock location opened on Cantrell Road. Cotham's has now become an institution in Arkansas. Our trademark hubcap hamburgers and onion rings have won many awards as the best in the state. So when you come here, bring your memories and your appetite. We promise to do our best to make your visit a memorable one.

Doe's Eat Place

Meats Spicy AR [DINING] [ATTRACTIONS] [RECIPES]
www.doeseatplace.net

What has become a Little Rock landmark of national renown -- Doe's Eat Place -- has its origins in the unlikeliest of models, a no-frills diner deep in the delta. But then nothing about Doe's is quite what one would expect from a world-class steakhouse -- except fabulous steaks, that is. A longtime regional favorite, Doe's rose to national prominence during the 1992 presidential election campaign, when Clinton staffers made it their hangout. When then-candidate Clinton was interviewed by Rolling Stone magazine for the September cover story, Doe's was the setting. Throughout the vagaries of political fame & fortune, however, Doe's has maintained its down-to-earth atmosphere. New photographs and clippings may continue their spread across the walls, but the real stars will always be our "eats," including steak you can cut with a fork; burgers, homemade tamales.
